Just Do It!

Shower . . . often. This might sound down-right silly, but once motherhood sets in in full force, showers become an unnecessary luxury. Pre-mothers can't understand this, but it's a fact of life. If you're not leaving the house and the only people who will see you are your children, then it's much easier to skip the shower and tend to the masses, but it's a mistake. Do your hair, put on a little shimmery lip gloss and the whole world is a brighter better place. Wear real clothes (nothing with an elastic waist and nothing you've owned since high school counts as real). It's never too late in the day to do this (although it's better to do it before your husband gets home from work). I promise your best days will be accompanied by mascara and a bra, without those - it's hard to feel perky!
